Taylor Hollingsworth song in “Ostrich Oven”

Taylor Hollingsworth of Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band has graciously donated a song to the soundtrack of H-Minus Productions‘ latest short film, “Ostrich Oven.” Taylor joins British noise legend The Caretaker on what we promise will be a deeply bizarre soundtrack.
We can’t wait to premiere the film soon!

First Back When show in two years

Back When, a musical outfit I played in from 2002-2008 has reformed and we are playing our first show in two years at the Waiting Room. July 27th we will be joined by friends Noah’s Ark Was A Spaceship and Lightning Bug. We will be playing a host of new material.

Shout!’s 30 Under 30

I was fortunate enough to be included in Shout! Magazine’s “30 Under 30″ article, which highlights the creative professionals working in Omaha under the age of 30. My inclusion covered my work as Experience/Creative Director of Phenomblue and as owner/producer of H-Minus Productions.
They were also lovely enough to include a bit about Drew Billings, my dear friend who passed away in this past September.

Also in the article were Megan Hunt and Erin Standley, self-made wedding entrepreneur and Senior Designer at Phenomblue respectively.

Deadline fast approaching for The Drew Billings Foundation’s Artist Grant

May 14th, we at the Drew Billings Foundation stop taking proposals for our 2010 Artists’ Grant. If you or someone you know has a performance-based art project that you are looking for funding for, please send a written propsoal to:

A qualifying proposal for funding should include the following:
A 2 page artist’s statement including bios for all involved parties as well as personal mission and artistic goals.

A detailed 2 page outline of the project.

An itemized line budget.

Please do not send any photographs or creative materials pertaining to the project. Proposals must be submitted by mail to the above address. Please include your name, age, address, phone number and email address.

The postmark deadlines for proposals are May 14th, 2010 with notification of award on May 20th, 2010. All artists will be notified via email that their proposals have been received and are under review.
The awarded project is subject to monthly check-ins for the purposes of updating donors.
